Never take yourself too seriously

I mentioned yesterday that I like to fantasize about how I would spend discretionary if I had it. Last night I was trying to get a better picture of how much a ReefAquarium would cost. In the midst of surfing around on it I came across http://www.garf.org/. Leroy Headlee has done a lot of research into the subject of marine farming. On his site he has lots and lots of information about setting up a marine farming business. This is a big hot button with me. I’ve wanted to own a fish store for nearly 10 years (Sports fans will note that’s back when I was in college). Anyway, I was reading all this optimistic literature and thinking, “Hey, I could do this!”. Realistically though I’m nowhere near ready to even start something like this. I talked to Carla about it via IM. Her responce was, “QUIT IT!”. Heh, well, she’s right. The only reason I decided to blog this was because of the Doctor Fun cartoon for today.

Stupid Time Waster

One of the games I like to play is “What would I do with $500”. I have a variant of the game called “What would I do with $5000”. That later game ends with an Apple Powerbook in my shoping cart. See that’s the fun part: you have to actually get the items in a shopping cart and then abort. I’m sure this screws with store owner’s statistics. Anyway, the reason it’s a stupid time waster is because I don’t have $500 or $5000 of “mad money” and won’t for the foreseeable future. Anyway, I’ve added the items i usually end up with on my WishList.

I Like Smilies

I try not to get too carried away, but I like smilies (or emoticons for the pedantic). There are lots of them out there. I kindof like to collect them. I came across a good stash of them today and snagged them (well at least the ones that weren’t offensive). I use my “collection” for the SmiliesPlugin. For those too lazy to follow the link, I’ll throw them all in here.
